Shiok-ingly Good Food.

Shiok is a Singaporean inspired restaurant located at the Bonifacio Stop-Over. Their specialties include hainan chicken, soy chicken, spicy pineapple fish, roti, tomato pork chop and curries.

their menu

Since it was still early, decided to eat light, hence, the roti (P55) and mutarbak (P85).

The roti was just one piece but is was good enough for 2 snack- hungry individuals. The bread was crispy outside but was chewy inside--just the right texture. Plus, the curry dipping sauce is in the paste form (unlike the water down-ed consistencies from makan and orchard). It was the best tasking roti among all the places i've tried (makansutra, orchard road), and for its price tag, at P55, it was a steal.

The mutarbak that they serve is the savory type, (the other type is the sweet one) which consists of a filling composed of minced mutton, garlic, eggs, and onions, then served with a curry dipping sauce, for maximum excitation of the tastebuds .

The Milk Tea is typical in these kinds of Asian restaurants. I guess this one would be the number two in my list of milk teas (first: Serenitea's Okinawa Milk Tea)

The Iced Yuan Yang is a combination of Hong Kong style milk tea and coffee. It was sweeter than the classic milk tea, but was still refreshing.
