Home Cooking Holiday

31 December 08

Since Noche Buena was all ordered from Conti's, I thought that preparing food for Media Noche is a good start for the year ahead. So we bought common ingredients from the supermarket and the hard-to-find-ones in Santis Delicatessen. Unfortunately, Ricotta cheese for my cannelloni was out of stock, even the deli inside SM Hypermarket doesn't have it, so i opted to use cream cheese :)) haha!

My sister and I prepared 3 dishes for new year's eve dinner! :) Yay for 2009!

1st :

Baked Spinach and Artichoke Dip
Toppped with: Mozzarella and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses

2nd:

Beef and Mushroom Cannelloni in 3 Cheeses (Cream, Mozzarella and Parmigiano-Reggiano)
Sauce: Béchamel sauce

3rd:

Cross Sectional View :))

Bacon Wrapped Sirloin Strips (with cream cheese-sour cream mixture), mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and asparagus stalks with "smashed" potato w/ bacon
Sauce : Tomato Basil and Cheese sauce, and Béchamel sauce

Happy new year 2009! :)
Let's begin again.
